Fact #13: Will vs. Shall

Understand what the Bible means for Will & Shall is a Bible Student PRO TIP!

In the Bible, the word will (when used to reference an action of God) is speaking of something that God is CERTAINLY going to do. The word shall, however, speaks of something that SHOULD happen. It is important to know the difference between these two Biblical words because oftentimes when God doesn’t answer a prayer our way, we think that God didn’t keep his word. We must see if God is saying He WILL or SHALL/SHALT perform something. Knowing the difference is key and it will help us get more understanding, grow in faith, and avoid unintentional disappointment.
