Fact #11: Holy Ghost vs. Holy Spirit

A ghost is the spirit of someone who has died.

The phrase “Holy Ghost” and “Holy Spirit” are both found in the Bible, but Holy Ghost is used considerably more. While there are many types of spirits, a “Ghost” is the spirit of someone who has died, and so saying Holy Ghost emphasizes that it is the Spirit of Jesus Christ who died for us! In this video we learn that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost and He also IS the Holy Ghost. How can this be? There is only ONE God, and His Spirit in operation then and now is the Holy Ghost.
